WLAN Example

IEEE 802.11 Wireless LANs use CSMA/CA for media access. Additionally, the optional RTS/CTS (Request to Send, Clear to Send) mechanism allows the stations to reserve access to the channel by small control packets.

This application shows how media access operates in specific scenarios. Please select a scenario, decide if RTS/CTS should be used and then press "Start".
Step-by-step media access and the operations of the stations are presented!
